Çeşme

Beach in Çeşme: Alex, Kate, Hannah, and Morgan ready to swim in the balmy waters of the Aegean Sea.

Breakfast by the pool: Nur (Hakans Mother), Ferhan (Hakans Aunt) and next to dad Özden (Hakans Grandmother) plus our family.

After a few days in İstanbul, our party split and Kate, Morgan, Nur, and Özden flew to İzmir (a quick 45 minute flight) then drove to Çeşme, and the remaining five of us jumped into Hakans familys Volkswagen Caddy to drive the 8 hours to Çeşme to meet them.

The Baturs have a four story summer home with a pool and beds for all of us (10 + people) in Çeşme, a 45 minute drive by toll road from the city of İzmir (İzmir pop: 3 million plus). It seems to be always windy - but it is beautiful!

The next day Hakan went to go figure out how to get a Visa from the Italians and we spent all day at the gorgeous white sand beaches of Çeşme. The water was so warm even Donica went swimming!
